Power of Nutritious Food

Nutrition in food is something we have started talking about now but consuming in our diet from time immemorial. We all should know the power of nutritious food. Our diet is a combination whole of 5 components which comprises carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and fats. Two other major contributing factors are roughage and water. India is an attraction for tourists around the globe. It is known for its exotic, tempting delicious food that is packed up with nutrition.

It is known for its delicious tempting pickles, curries, paranthas, etc. From north to south and east to west you can enjoy different breakfast recipes and make your daybreak special. There was always a reason why some recipes were decided for breakfast, others for lunch, and different for dinner. Every food recipe and meal has its embedded importance.

Power of Nutrients:

Nutrition is an essential and inseparable requirement of our body. We need all the nutrients and minerals in the correct amount and a diet that is a combination of the whole of the elements, is called a balanced diet. We need balanced diet for our body to grow, to repair, to gain energy, to get required fats. Nutrition is the basic bodily requirement. They are essential compounds that help us to survive.

Prefer living foods:

Living foods are power packed, full of nutrition and are the source of energy. By living foods we mean foods that are close to their original form and which retain all active ingredients. They are easy to digest and are the best for our digestive system. They provide the maximum amount of energy and fuel to the human body. The nutrients present in them are obtained by the body in a direct way. They also help in maintaining hormonal balance and improve the immune system. These foods also contribute to the better functioning of the brain and improved memory. As these foods are obtained directly from the lap of nature, they are the best in every way.

Fruits and vegetables:

Fruits provide all the major nutrients required by our body. They possess vital nutrients like vitamins A, C, D, E, etc. These vitamins can be obtained without any labour. Fruits are to be consumed raw. They not only satisfy the taste buds but are also packed with essential nutrients. Vegetables are a source of energy and nutrition. They give strength to the body. Eating raw veggies provide essential nutrients to the body; and roughage, fruits and veggies are the sources of fiber. They help in the easy digestion of carbohydrates.

Include Good Fats:

Fats are usually mistaken for something that leads to obesity. But there are two types of fats, good and bad fats. The fats obtained from the sources like Nuts, such as almonds, cashew nuts, raisins, seeds, and avocado are good fats. These fats help in giving energy; they improve brain function and protect us from diseases by building immunity.

Power of Dairy Products:

Well! Life seems unimaginable without milk and milk products in a country like India. We are so much dependent on dairy products, let it be boiled milk, milk in tea, curd, yogurt, butter, cheese, buttermilk, desserts, sweets , sweet dishes all include milk as main ingredient. They are preferred because of energy and nutrition they possess. Milk and milk products not only tingle our taste buds but also fulfil the nutritional requirement. They are source of protein, vitamin D and calcium. So it is always good to include these in diet.

Lentils and sprouts:

Lentils are dried legumes; they are power packed source of proteins. They are consumed all around the world. But India is known for making delicious recipes of these legumes or pulses. They can be soaked in water for some time to soften and cooked easily. They can also be sprouted and consumed raw to take the best outcome of these. These are the source of nutrition and tastes good. Ideally, an Indian thali (plate) includes one vegetable curry, one dal (lentil curry), rice, chapatti, salad and curd, served with Butter milk. This is a complete nutritious feast. It satisfies taste buds and provides required nutrition.

Eating mindlessly may end up giving birth to multiple problems. Ready to eat foods available in market are deprived of the nutrients. They can be called dead foods. Nature has gifted us with uncountable nutritious things. They are the source of energy and have miraculous impact on our mind and body. As it is aptly said whatever you eat, your mind and soul will be influenced by the same. Choose fresh veggies, fruits, nuts and seeds over the unhealthy food and stay healthy.
